Taking environmental objectives into account in competition law in the presence of Ekaterina Rousseva from the European Commission: Michel Ponsard will moderate the next webinar of the LIDC (the International League of Competition Law) on February 11, 2021 starting at 12:00 noon, on current European thinking.
The session will consider the new approach of the competition policy on environmental aspects and the role they should play in the future with the views of DG COMP, practitioners and companies in Europe. The session follows up on a working group report prepared by AFEC (LIDC national group) in France
Presentation of the speakers :
- Michel Ponsard, partner at UGGC Law Firm specializing in competition law, merger control, European Union law, distribution network law, unfair competition, deceptive practices, contract law, Distribution & Consumption, and Vice President of AFEC will be the moderator of the webinar,
- Ekaterina Rousseva, member of the task force of DG COMP at the European Commission on the public consultation concerning the Green Deal will share her thoughts on the relationship between the GreenDeal objectives and antitrust policy.
- Michaël Cousin, partner at Ashurst LLP, member of the Bureau of Association Francaise de la Concurrence will give the views of the practitioners of the market and the result of their discussions through AFEC.
