Creation of the Cisa, an inter-union coordination for the audiovisual sector.
Thecoming into effect of the new SMAD decree (for on-demand audiovisual media services) taken to transpose the European AVMS directive and repeal the 2010 SMAD decree, the renegotiation of the media chronology (governing the broadcasting windows for films released in France) and the negotiations to review the 2010 DTT decree are conditional on the success of inter-professional negotiations.
The unions of audiovisual producers and distributors have therefore decided to form an inter-union coordination group, the Coordination Inter-Syndicale de l’Audiovisuel (hereinafter “CISA”). It gathers together six unions (AnimFrance, Satev, Sedpa, Spect, SPI and Uspa), representing 700 companies and nearly 120,000 professionals and aims “to coordinate and structure the thoughts and actions of these unions[1] ” in the context of the audiovisual reform. In particular, it calls for “allowing the necessary time for the development of a balanced regulation between on-demand audiovisual media services and DTT publishers”.
