Artistic creation: deadline for submitting an application for creative assistance
Artist-authors may apply for creative assistance from the National Centre for the Plastic Arts (NCPA) until February 12, 2021.
Since the beginning of the COVID 19 health crisis, artist-authors, regardless of their status or sector of activity, can benefit from the solidarity fund set up by the State.
Each year, the National Center for Plastic Arts (hereinafter « CNAP ») grants a one-off aid amounting to 1,500 euros to artists in the fields of decorative arts, sound creation, design, drawing, printmaking and engraving, photography and sculpture encountering momentary difficulties, no longer allowing them to carry out their artistic activity « professionally and constantly ».
To benefit from this aid, the artist must be a tax resident in France, be affiliated with the social security system for artist-authors, not have already benefited from this exceptional aid and have a reference tax income of less than 18,000 euros.
The commission, which will meet on April 20, 2021, will attempt to determine :
- The « commitment of the artist author in a professional activity » determined according to his artistic file;
- « The economic nature of the difficulties encountered »;
- « The impact of his current economic situation on his artistic production capacities ».
This creative support cannot be combined with the one-off COVID 19 assistance from the CNAP granted for loss of earnings due to the cancellation or postponement of exhibitions or events.
