Edouard Caupert was interviewed on 5 November 2021 by Rafaële Rivais, a journalist from the newspaper Le Monde, after he succeeded in having the organiser and the bailiff of an unfair lottery condemned.
In June 2013, he sued a company organising publicity lotteries and a bailiff’s office that had assisted in 83 lottery operations that promised to award his client prizes. In May 2021, the Montpellier Court of Appeal ruled that these operations were unfair and ordered the organising company and the bailiffs jointly and severally to pay the sum of one million euros, corresponding to the total amount promised to his client.
